To Begin

Let me start by saying Happy Valentines Day to you and yours. This morning I woke up to the smell of beautiful roses, and eucalyptus thanks to my favorite spot to purchase weekly flowers. If you guessed Trader Joes, you’re absolutely correct. Lets be honest for a moment did you grab your favorite flowers or did someone treat you? It’s totally acceptable if you did. Now that we’ve been able to relax a bit. Lets jump right in!

OMG, I can’t believe I’m actually doing this. Like finally sitting down as I begin to lean into a passion that I’ve packed away for several years. If you’re new here WELCOME if you’ve read some on my long winded Instagram post you know it was only a matter of time before the Pages From the Heart was birthed.

You’ve arrived at the sweet corner in which I share glimpse of my life which includes Faith, Family, Fashion and Fitness with some random things in between. Go ahead and get comfortable with your favorite cup of tea and a cozy blanket as we get acquainted.

I’m Paulette A. Edwards but that’s completely obvious if you’ve found me right? So lets, jump right in, I’m a well versed introverted extrovert, if I’m being completely honest, who understand the importance of building a community of people I can count on while pulling back when necessary to ensure my #MentalHealth is where it needs to be. I’m a single Mother of two amazing children, ages 17 and 11, sometimes I’m amazed at how remarkable they are and not because of anything spectacular I’ve done, but solely based upon God showing me grace and giving me the extra push in the moments that I wanted to give up.

Every morning I wake up I’m reminded of God’s favor on my life because I’m able to excel professionally within Human Resources while working in my passion of Fashion as an Image Consultant. Every single day I’m able to create impact within both spaces regardless if I’m talking about policies or procedures or what’s the latest must haves to add to your existing wardrobe. Life has definitely had some moments of turbulence however, every bump and bruise prepared me for this very moment. While working 12hrs a day 7 days week,I was able to obtain my Masters degree in Human Service and purchase a home while serving my country in Afghanistan.

Yes, the super feminine woman that you see before you lived in Afghanistan for 5 1/2 years however, that’s another story for another day. As I share my encounters, thoughts and opinions I welcome you to do the same. Welcome to Pages From The Heart a safe space that I’ve carved out especially for us!
